my curiosity got the best of me despite how much the majority of my friends say twilight was bad. i watched the movie. it was one of the most poorly made movies i've seen in years (like giving an average person on youtube the duty of filming a movie with professional equipment), and on top of that the story development and character interactions were just as bad (it was like a bunch of randomly slapped together elements...lots of random and uninteresting fluff). and the only really unique thing there was the fact that vampires sparkle (which only showed for...two...three short scenes from the entire movie? O_o" i thought it was more than that before i watched the movie lolz x'D). though i do like the bit of foreshadowing at the beginning and it comes back later before the end, but would have wrapped it up much more nicely if the main character HAD died---continuing on after that just killed the dramatic effect left from it. and the part with the whole 'chase the main character down' wasn't bad, but it wasn't something that should amaze anyone.

seriously...i was thinking why the heck people like stuff like this to the point they'd hurt people for it? the audience has no exposure to better stories? it's sort of like...how should i say...there's box, and inside the box are stick figure drawings and outside the box has masterpieces, but the audience is trapped inside the box so they only like the stick figure art. i find it frustrating that such a poorly played out story gets more publicity over other works that are way better than twilight.

now i can officially say i dislike twilight and not just base it on the fact that i dislike how vampires were ruined with the whole 'sparkly bishi moodswing vampire' thing.
